I was awake early this morning to take my daughter and her family to the canoe launch. On the way, two turkeys trotted across the road. I laughed and yelled for them to keep their heads down one more day.
Now I sit and contemplate the day while I enjoy a quiet morning breakfast. As is our Thanksgiving family tradition, we are camping. At last count, there will be 27 of us for dinner at our campsite. It won’t be quiet for long.
I think of all I am thankful for — our family and our way of life. I know we are blessed and I thank God everyday. We are especially thankful for the miracle recovery of our daughter after suffering a stroke. She is back to normal.
I won’t be making a post this weekend as I’m taking time with family. I will be back the following weekend with all the details of our Thanksgiving camping adventure.
Until then, I wish one and all a blessed and Happy Thanksgiving and…
happy days, save travels and God bless.
I am so happy your daughter has made a full recovery!

It is always fun to see wild turkeys. I had always thought of them as an Eastern bird, until we were driving in the Rocky Mountains and had a flock cross in front of us.
