Finally, we are done! The gifts are wrapped. The food is prepared. We’ve checked our list…twice. Now we wait.

For as long as I can remember, Christmas Eve has always been a time for family to gather at our house. Aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, all came to our house to feast, and to celebrate. We would squeeze ourselves around the tree for the gift exchange. Watching the children tear into the gifts was a sight to see and brought us many adorable memories.
Christmas Eve is different this year. It is much quieter. COVID has played a part. Grammi and I are sitting alone while classic Christmas music plays softly in the background. It’s a melancholy feeling. We are traveling back in time, reminiscing of all the wonderful Christmas’s we’ve had in this house.
However, we will see everyone soon. This year we will get together with our family after Christmas.

Grammi and I wish everyone joy and happiness during the holiday.
So until next time…happy days and safe travels.
Merry Christmas! All we have to do is hold on a bit longer. The vaccine is coming, and soon we will be saying, “Happy New Year” with more heartfelt meaning than before!
